Poland has so much more to offer and a wonderful pilgrimage can combine a rich mixture of religion, history and culture. A visit to the Pope's home town, places associated with St Faustina and the concentration camp of Auschwitz, are also included.

Day 1 We fly into Krakow and upon arrival we are met by a representative, and transferred by coach to our hotel. We enjoy some free time (depending on flight time). Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 2 After breakfast, we enjoy a full day tour with guide and coach where necessary, including the Main Market Square with the Cloth Hall, St. Mary's Church and Wawel Cathedral with its Royal tombs. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 3 After breakfast, we are joined by a courier for the day and drive to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki. This is where Sister Faustina worked and died, and here we visit her tomb. In the afternoon we visit Auschwitz where we are met by a local guide, who will take us around the former Nazi concentration camp, now preserved as a museum. There is also an option to visit Birkenau. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 4 After breakfast we are joined by a courier for the day, and drive to Czestochowa, the most important pilgrimage centre in Poland which receives thousands of visitors every year. Here we are met by a local guide, and enjoy a tour of the majestic complex of the Basilica, Treasure House and the Chapel of the Black Madonna with the famous Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 5 After breakfast we enjoy some free time (as flight time allows). We are joined by a courier and transfer to the airport for our return flight to the UK.

Day 1 We fly from the UK to Krakow where we are met by a representative and transfer to our hotel for dinner and overnight. We enjoy free time upon arrival depending on flight time.

Day 2 After breakfast, we are joined by a courier for the day, and drive to Czestochowa, the most important pilgrimage centre in Poland which receives thousands of visitors every year. Here we are met by a local guide, and enjoy a tour of the majestic complex of the Basilica, Treasure House and the Chapel of the Black Madonna with the famous Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. Pope John Paul II visited this Shrine many times. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 3 After breakfast, we enjoy a full day tour with guide and coach where necessary, including the St. Mary's Church (Mariacki Church), the Wawel Cathedral with its Royal tombs and SigismondƆs Bell, Collegium Maius (where Pope John Paul II studied) and Archdiosecsan Museum, and we will view the Archbishop's Palace (from the outside only). We will also visit today the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki. This shrine was consecrated by John Paul II in 2002. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 4 After breakfast, we are joined by a courier for the day and depart for Zakopane. This day includes a visit to the Church of Our Lady of Fatima. It was built by the local people to thank God for saving the Pope's life. The church was blessed by John Paul II during his meeting with highlanders in Zakopane in 1999. During the day we will continue onto the pretty town of Koscieliscko, which is a typical highlanders' village. Here we will visit the local church made of timber. Dinner and overnight in Krakow. (Optional: Whilst in Zakopane you can take the Gubalowka Hill Funicular which gives you a beautiful view of the mountain range. This is payable locally at €8 per person).

Day 5 After breakfast visit Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, one of the most impressive passion and Marian sanctuaries in Poland. Here there is a Bernadine Monastery, the place where in 1658 the picture of the Mother of God with an Infant was recognised as, "famous for miracles". South of the monastery there is the famous Calvary that imitates the topography of Jerusalem. There are a number of chapels, shrines and bridges, altogether over 40 structures built along the paths. During the afternoon we visit Wadowice, Pope John Paul II's birthplace. Here you can visit his family house, which has now become a museum . Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 6 After breakfast, we enjoy some free time (depending on flight times). We are escorted by a courier to the airport for our return flight to the UK.

Day 3 After breakfast, we depart from Czestochowa to visit Auschwitz - the former Nazi concentration camp, now preserved as a museum. Here we are shown around by a local guide, and have the opportunity to watch a film. From here we continue on to visit Tyniec where we will visit the Benedictine Abbey. We then continue on to Krakow where we check into our hotel for dinner and overnight.

Day 4 After breakfast, we drive to the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki. This is where Sister Faustina worked and died, and here we visit her tomb. In the afternoon we enjoy a city tour, including visits to Wawel Cathedral with the Royal Tombs and Sigismond's Bell and St Mary's Church (Mariacki Church). Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 7 After breakfast we enjoy a visit to the famous Salt Mine in Wieliczka, one of the oldest salt mines listed by UNESCO as a World Heritage Monument. Whilst here a local guide will provide a tour. There will be some free time during the afternoon. Dinner and overnight in Krakow.

Day 8 After breakfast we enjoy free time (depending on flight time). We are escorted by a courier to the airport for our return flight to the UK.
