Our 6 day pilgrimage starts at the spiritual heart Czestochowa, gaze upon the “Black Madonna at the Jasna Gora Monastery. Next we visit St Mary’s church, the Wawel Cathedral, The Archdiosecsan Museum and Collegium Maius, where St Paul ll studied. Next we meet Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki where sister Faustina worked and died.

We transfer to Zakopane and visit Church of Our Lady of Fatima, which was blessed by John Paul II in 1999, whilst here you have the option of going up the Gubalowka Hill Funicular and viewing the breath taking mountain range. Later we move on to Koscieliscko to view the beautiful timber church and surrounding village. We complete our tour with a day in Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, one of the most impressive passion and Marian sanctuaries in Poland.

We also visit Bernadine Monastery and South of the monastery there is the famous Calvary that imitates the topography of Jerusalem, there are a number of chapels, shrines and bridges. To end the day we visit Wadowice, the birth place of blessed Pope John Paul ll, we visit his family house which is now a museum

Pilgrimages to Poland


Day 1

Fly to Kraków. Transfer to hotel.

Day 2

Visit Częstochowa, the most important pilgrimage centre in Poland. See the cathedral, Treasure House and the Chapel of the Black Madonna with the famous Icon of the Blessed Virgin Mary. John Paul II visited this Shrine many times.

Day 3

Visit St Mary’s Church (Mariacki Church), the Wawel Cathedral with its Royal tombs and Sigismond’s Bell, Collegium Maius (where John Paul II studied) and Archdiosecsan Museum. See the Archbishop’s Palace (from the outside only) and visit the Congregation of the Sisters of the Divine Mother of Mercy in Lagiewniki, which was consecrated by Paul II in 2002.

Day 4

Transfer to Zakopane. Visit the Church of Our Lady of Fatima, built by local people to thank God for saving the Pope’s life. The church was blessed by Paul II in 1999. Continue to Koscieliscko and visit the local timber church.

Day 5

Visit the Marian sanctuary of Kalwaria Zebrzydowska, and the Bernadine Monastery where in 1658, the picture of the Mother of God with an Infant was recognised as, “famous for miracles”. Visit John Paul II’s birthplace and family house in Wadowice.

Day 6

Free time subject to flights. Fly home.
