   BY AIR     3-4 STARS

Visit the world famous shrine dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Since the apparitions appeared to the three Sheppard children between May and October 1917, the sanctuary of Fatima has welcomed millions of pilgrims.

On our 5 day pilgrimage we explain the story of Fatima and view the model of how Cova da Iria looked in 1917. We visit the basilica and chapel and see the village of Fatima with the Parish Church where the children were baptised and the graveyard where they were first buried. We also visit Loca do Anjo where the Angel of Peace visited the children and we walk the Stations of the Cross.

We continue on our spiritual journey to Valinhos where Our Lady appeared on the 19th August and to Adjustrel, the homes of the children and the well, where the apparition of the Angel appeared. For those of you that wish to explore Portugal further you can include excursions to Nazare a unique fishing town where traditions continue and the colourful wooden fishing boats are like paintings in the sand or visit Obidos the fortified city with a hillside location and a medieval castle.
