A pilgrimage packed with religious and historic sites. Santiago de Compostela old town is wrapped around the cathedral and is a UNESCO world heritage site, we visit the burial place of St James and the final destination of thousands of pilgrims walking the Path of St James.
Explore the old roman walled town of Lugo and follow part the Camino. We depart for Fatima and en route we stop at the incredible Bom Jesus church, with its breathtaking view of Braga. We arrive in Fatima and hear the story of the sanctuary and view the model of how Cova da Iria looked in 1917. We visit the basilica and chapel and see the village of Fatima, the Parish Church where the children were baptised and where they were first buried.
We also visit Loca do Anjo where the Angel of Peace visited the children and we walk the Stations of the Cross. We continue on our spiritual journey to Valinhos where Our Lady appeared on the 19th August and to Adjustrel, the homes of the children and the well, where the apparition of the Angel appeared. For those of you that wish to explore further you can include excursions to Nazare a unique traditional fishing town or visit Obidos the fortified city and medieval castle.
